KESSIL A360WE over a 90g tank

All I can tell you is that they look dim on a 90 when compared to a 250w DE metal halide. My friend installed them and his corals, which looked perfect beforehand, have still not adjusted after almost two weeks. It could be the intensity or something else, but I doubt it. They are beautifully made lights and I love the 150W that I have on my 25g nano, but in would proceed cautiously.

Start out at 60 color and 65 intensity. Use that fir about a month and up intensity to 75-80.

Here's the thread that convinced me to go with the 360's on my 75g. He recommended: set your color to 60 and your intensity to 70 (at appx 9" above waterline). I have mine ramp for 4 hrs, stay at these for 4 hrs then ramp down 4 hrs (my tank is still cycling right now).

whoops...I wasn't on the last page when I posted and just now saw JP's post. :)

I run mine at 90 percent intensity. Messily says the color does not matter, it is your preference.

You will most likely have too many shadows and dark areas, especially if you have a center brace. I would go with three or find another option. Two Radions would be perfect.

i have a center brace with 2 a360w and look there in the center. yep a nem. there is no shadow effect issues and these lights have been on the tank since april 2103. 2 lights will be plenty for a 90g

So I know it was recommended to run light at 60% power and 60% white but what % white are you all using? I'm at 34% white and like it more blue as I thought the 60 white was too white and I have a lot of brown frags

Brown frags are a water quality issue, that is besides the point.
I run 45% on color and 92% intensity after 10 months. The color doesn't matter it is your preference. I ran the color all over to see if it mattered and had 0 results of good vs. Bad. 60 percent is good starting point, adjust 5 percent weekly to 75 percent and 1 percent weekly after that. See where the corals like it the best and go from there. Good luck

Yeah I agree I mean I like the color of the brown frags as well as my colored sps better under a bluer spectrum.

I just added coral from a 2 g picotope running a par 60 rapid led. Since I have a 12 inch deep tank I dropped the % to 40 to acclimate. I may leave it there until my upgrade next month
