I currently use a AI Prime on my Waterbox 15. Unfortunately, my skimmer ideally would have a little more adjustment room, so I’m looking at the Kessil a360x since the arm could be mounted to the stand instead of clamped in the middle rear chamber. I used to have a Kessil 160 and really lIked it, minus the crappy defective controller I had. I think they are sleek looking lights and remember thinking WOW when I saw the shimmer.

I’m contemplating upgrading to the a360x to meet this tanks needs, however, down the road I want to get a Cade 600 tank. (This is my practice tank). Do you think the a360x + Reef Brite XHO kit would be sufficient for that tank? I’m a beginner, however, would like to try my hand at SPS down the line.

Eventually when I upgrade my tank, I want something that looks as nice on the outside as it does on the inside and the Kessil form factor is by far my favorite light form factor. I actually don’t even mind it with the XHO attachment since the cord is hidden well.

I couldn’t find a lot of feedback on that combo by searching, so if you have any experience let me know. The Cade 600 is around 24x24x24 inches.

That combo should be perfect. BRS showed the par on a 60 cube with that combo and the spread+par were excellent.

I love the combo color wise, if you go with the xho get the dimmer module as well…. Those things crank out light on max!

Absolutely! My main tank is the IM Nuvo Fusion 40 (which has similar dimensions to the CADE 600) and I'm currently running the Kessil A360WE Tuna Blue with the Reef Brite XHO's. I started with the A360 and added the Reef Brites to get some extra spread, coverage and pop and I really like them. I actually have them dialed back to about 50% right now because the PAR level with both running was a bit too much.

The add-on kit I bought had two Reef Brite 11.125-inch Blue Actinic XHO’s. They have adjustable levels of intensity (I think 6 different levels) and I've been slowly ramping them up over time. I put them on a timer and I think they come on about an hour or two after my A360 hits peak intensity and they stay on an hour after it goes off.

When you add the Reef Brites are you doing the white / blue mix or just atintic?
I personally am not using them just yet, the A360X is plenty of light for my little Waterbox 15 gallon and I've been going through the "ugly stage" so I have my lights relatively low. I plan to use them in the future when I move to a bigger tank.

This is my plan ^
