Got the kessil a360x with spectral controller. I know how to program the light with the controller, just not sure what each lighting setting should be To fit corals need and to look as amazing as i see in the tanks of others.
i have a 40 gallon cube.
with The following:

Goniastrea
Branching Hammer
Favia
Tangerine juice Lepto
turbinaria
Hollywood stunner

Any help would be awesome.

With kessils they have what's called kessil logic. They put out the proper spectrum of light to meet the corals needs no matter what you set the colors to. Par is what's gonna affect corals most. So set the tank for the color you want then set the par.

You should get a par meter, either rent or borrow from someone. Your lfs may even have one. Most aim for 80 to 150 par at the sand bed for mixed reefs. Low light corals on bottom to high light corals neer the top

Ok. Thanks. I had read a few threads about being careful of using the violet channel, and some say dont use the red or green at all. You're saying the key is par? I wondered if my incorrectly setting the light”s colors was the reason my hollywood stunner turned from a pale blue color to a deep purple. Do you have any thoughts?
