Hoping an A80 has enough coverage for a tank that is 16.5x12 and 11 inches deep. The tank will be solely zoas and mushrooms. I’ve seen people say an A80 can do a full mixed reef in a IM Fusion 10 (12x12x13)

That being said I recognize the larger spread required but being a shallower tank I was wondering if the reduced light requirement for softies like zoas/shrooms would still produce.

Any opinions?

It should be enough. The recommended spread for the A80 is 18x18, so a 16x12 should be fine especially if it's for softies only :)

I have 2 on a 12 long so about 18in coverage wide but less front to back. Even have some easy SPS

Well I’ll admit the reason I ask this question is to expand on the fact this will actually go onto a IM 25 lagoon, I have 2 A80’s for this build however I’ve been told it would not be enough light. But the dimensions I have listed is all each light would be expected to cover.
