Kessil and T5's

Does anyone have any experience running t5's with Kessils? Wondering if you run both the same amount of time. Also what intensity is recommended for the kessils. And what height works well.

I don't have the combo but my Kessil 360w is about 10-12" high.

A good friend of mine runs 3 A360we's and 4 T5's in his canopy over his 180g for over the past year. Came from 8 T5's to this arrangement after getting tired of changing the lamps constantly. Only runs his T5's for about 4hrs a day now, the rest is his Kessils. Has good growth and great coloration.

As soon as I can build a floating canopy, I'm following suit. Ditching my ATI PM 10x54 for 2 A360's and 4 T5's over my 185g.

I used to run two wide angle Kessil a350w lights and 4x48" retrofit t5 lights on a 60" tank. Worked great! Grew LPS and Montis like crazy. I didn't know what I was doing with my chemistry then so I was just throwing additive after magic in a bottle at it and ended up choking out a lot of my success with bryopsis. Once I got educated a little better now I've got some healthy happy coral. My largest piece of frequently fragged coral is my basketball size colony of 4 kinds of frogspawn. Wife's favorite coral.
