Kessil ap9x PAR readings seem low?

Hey!

i have the par meter from Neptune and was a little surprised by readings . I have light 12 inches above tank and the par meter about 12 inches below (see in photo) and at full power my readings are about 150-220. is this pretty standard? Thanks!

this is new tank just finished cycle a few fish and cleanup crew next week

seems standard, kessil doesnt have a lot of par. id lower the light to like 9 inches

I have 2 9xs and this strikes me as normal for a light as high as yours is over a 4ft tank.

Thanks. I will lower it a bit. I’m getting around 100-125 on sand bed. I guess I will just need more lights if I plan on getting any sps. I guess there is plenty of room for another 9xs

Maybe try 10 inch height. That is the BRS recommended height.

It’s plenty to keep most LPS from my understanding which is probably what I will do. Thanks

Acros will be fine too atleast if you place them up high and not far off to the sides.

Lowered to 10 inches wow big difference. 195 on sand bed in middle be curious to see the edges of tank as I test over next few days.

If really needed you could also add a couple 160we's or 360we's or 360x's on each side for the added benefits.

Did you ever get to measure the PAR on the sides? I have a 75G - 48x18 and I'm going to get one AP9X, I was wondering if that will be enough or if should supplement on the sides with some A80 chained to it.

Really should have 2 for 4ft tank.
