Kessil app help

Went perfect until trying to make the connection with light then the wifi connect to kessil _hd bla bla whatever says "wifi disconnected" once it gets to like 40%. Then says try reconnecting.

Tried uninstalling reinstalling app. Resetting app. tried resetting light. Retired turning everything off. Making phone discoverable. Forgot all other networks previously connected to. Can't really think of anything else. Been an hr and a half of retrying everything.

Any help?

Are you trying to run the light through your router, or wifi connect directly to the light?

Tried both. Pretty much same exact results each way.

Best I can find is maybe need to update firmware in the light itself via kessil site. Light and app not talking to each other.

I'd try that. Update the firmware and see if that helps

Had issues with mine delete the app, reset the light, update the light and reinstall the app, then connect direct and all was fixed.

So looks like this light is still at v1.05 and I'm having a hard time figuring out how to update firmware to v3.4.

disregard - figured out after failing a lot, needs to be a hardwire connection to do this. After figuring that out and seeing the desktop I haven't used in years is windows xp lol fun is. I'm computer dumb.

So to do the update, I had to bring the light closer to my router which means I had to unplug it afterward to bring it back to my tank. Will the program hold after unplugging and moving the light?? Or do I need to do it all over? Guess I'll find out in the morning if it turns on.

Also another question I saw reading through some of the material the linkage between lights pic showed it going to a360 lights. If I run from the ap700 to my a360's will those run on the same settings as the ap700?

It may reset through a power outage, mine tends to. There is no way to join the AP700 and the A360's to control both at once, the AP700 is locked into the wifi app for control only.

Once firmware is updated it should stick to the light. If power goes out you might have to open the app and it should all link back up and be on program.

It kept the programming. So all is well.

I see what it was I had came across that I thought had the a360's plugged into the ap700. Thought that's what I was looking at but it's the spectral controller I was looking at. In this pic...
