I recently moved my apex to a cabinet on the side of the aquarium. The kessil controller cable wasn't long enough so I got a 6ft 3.5mm stereo extender cable. I run dusk/dawn setting via apex. The light comes on but can't reach full intensity. The blues look off also. Am I getting a power drop from the cable being too long(12 ft)? Thanks for any input!

PS It's the belkin 6ft extender from microcenter.

I'm running a 6' cable from one light to the other, primary light has a 6' cable going down the A series mount into a 6' male to female extension with no issues. All cables are the cheap 3.5mm cables off eBay, I am using the OEM kessil to apex cable.

You could try getting a longer 3.5mm cable so that there are no connections between.

I think it may be the belkin cable. That runs from the kessil to the apex controller cable. I'll have to mess with it again. I do have an ethernet coupler. I may go that route.
