Kessil Gooseneck mounts - interchangable parts?

Hi all, this is a random question. I added some little Kessil a80s to my t5 fixture to add some extra shimmer and tunable blue (and it worked really well) but the mini goosenecks are too short and force them to be aimed at a slightly forward angle, which puts the coloration on the back side of the coral when viewing from the front of the tank. Kessil sells longer 24 inch goosenecks for the A series, that could allow me to shift them forward, but Kessil does not list the a80 as compatible. I cant imagine they would use totally different parts and was wondering if anyone has tried to use the long one on an a80, or has both and could check the parts?

Shot in the dark before just ordering it and seeing if it works

Good point, maybe they just didnt list it right...plus the a80 is an A series light. I submitted a question on BRS and will update here if they confirm, or if I just buy it and confirm

I just looked at Kessils site and the mini gooseneck looks (from pic) to attach w/2 screws whereas the larger gooseneck is a threaded end that screws onto bracket attached to light. On the mini the spread between bolts seems narrower.

So the bracket with the 2 holes on the mini comes off and leaves the gooseneck threaded on both ends. Looking at the adapters the sell for the longer one, im guessing that is also threaded. Im kinda hoping one part is just a longer version of the other which would make sense from a manufacturing economies standpoint.

I actually wish I could string them together into a massive 34 inch one, but Id have to make some coupler out of tapped nylon or hardware store parts

If worse comes to worse, if you order from BRS "as long as it doesn't get wet, you can return it".

So, in short, it works.

The threads are exactly the same on both, on all parts. In fact the tank mount and related hardware is identical, however the bracket that connects to the light itself is different.
The large one comes with the long gooseneck and presumable connects the 100 and 300 series lights, and the small one comes with the mini gooseneck and connects to the a80.

So, since I already bought mini goosenecks, I have the necessary parts.

However now that corner is darker in the back, and the shimmer is subdued because it is shining through eurobracing w hard water stains. So im torn.

The trials & tribulations... at least you know the brackets are interchangeable. Now it's just the fine tuning.

By tilting it almost 45 degrees facing back from the front, I found a good middle ground. Brings out a cool green base on this acro in the back now. (No idea what it is)

Found a better way to mount them in case anyone finds this helpful in the future
