Just picked up a 10k version and plan on getting a 15k when its released. Just figured I would post some pics. This little thing is bright! (Over a 36" long tank)

I was playing around with it earlier when I picked it up and placed it on a 34g solana. It looked awesome. You will love it on the nano cube.

So is this enough light for a 40 Breeder? Thoughts? I plan on having SPS directly under or by the lights with lps on the edges.

I plan on getting the 15k if it is enough light.

The light is bright and has good spread. I didn't have the LED on that tank long enough to see about growth (threw it on a 34 solana after the pic). I do know that for the week that it was on the tank that I did not notice any decline in coral health. As long as your SPS is lined up directly under it I think you will be fine. LPS as you know don't require near the light so they would do fine as well. This is a 150w LED so it is powerful and should mimic a high wattage halide (certainly looks the part). For the price I can't complain and in the worst case you might need to pick up an additional unit. (if your sps aren't happy). I'll know more when I put some SPS's out of my display tank into my solana. Then I can give you a result of how acros/montis do directly under the light.

Ok cool.

I am going to start my 40 G on a cycle this month so I will not need to purchase any lights until October.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
TIM S.
