Kessil Lights - Programs

I am running three of these.
I can mount them any distance from the water...I haven’t installed them yet.

Are you running them at 100% intensity on both channels as indicated in the pics? Whatever you do have the RBs/BBs at, the Kessils will need to be at least the same intensity if the corals you listed earlier are doing well.

Maybe a dumb question, but is there a night setting on the Kessils? Or is that when you lower the color at night?

There is a lunar cycle option on the ap700 but the 360s are not capable of it. I've never used it.

If you lower the color setting does that make it more blue? If so that would kinda be like the look we’re looking for at night.

So how do you get that nighttime look with the 360’s? We like to tone it down in the family room at night

0% color gets very blue but the intensity is too high to be used all night.
Correct the a 360 turned all the way down to 0 will be the bluest however they're not able of dimming down any further past 13% intensity I believe

Ok...I’m not looking to run them all night. I just like some blue for an hour or so before we all go to bed. Then at night I like them completely off.

Run them at 0% color and 13% intensity. That's as close as you'll get without having to add in other leds to dim down further

Ok. Sounds good.
So can I start the day for an hour and end the day for an hour like that?
Do you see any problems with doing something like that?

Nope. No problems whatsoever

The shut off intensity varies by controller as it is a byproduct of the voltage supplied on the 0-10v output of the controller. They (the controllers) will hit that threshold at various voltages.

I do something similar for two hours at startup and shut down each day.

I found that switching the outlet on with the intensity at 14% works best. I run 3 A360’s over my 6’ 180. Any thing lower than 14%, they some might not come on. I like to stagger the on times too, first light in daisy chain turns on then 10 minutes later 2nd then another 10 the last in chain turns on. Gives the fish a soft wake up. I also have to use separate moonlights for night.

So are you happy with 3 over your 180? How is the coverage?
Do you have all 3 lights plugged into separate outlets on your Apex and control the on times that way?
