Just received 2 or these mounting arms that will be modified for mitras lights.

My concern is the 2 plastic screws that are used to tighten up to the starphire rimless glass. I'd think they would come with rubber caps for the screw ends or some rubber or plate so screws do not dig into and scratch the glass? Any ideas

The plastic screws will not scratch the glass on a rimless tank. Have used mine on my tank for the last year and moved them around a few times and no marks or damage to speak of.

I also use the mounting arm on starphire with no scratching. But it also helps that it’s mounted behind the overflow.

Glass is harder than plastic, it won't scratch
