Hello everyone,

coming back from MACNA, it was awesome, the community is just superb!

I recorded couple booth and Kessil was actually my favorites product of the show, I spoke with them for like 2-3h asking so many questions haha, very fascinating why they make XYZ decision.

So i made an interview with one of the developers of the light, hope you enjoy, as soon its release I will do a deep review on their lights with Spectrum/PAR and I will publish my research on this forum with images and data.

I'm curious to hear if the make more or less noise, it's big thing for me because i sleep next to it are often close where i walk (corridor)
The moonlight effect is the little feature i enjoy the most lol

I wonder if they'll also be coming out with a new A160 version
I'm wondering also, forgot to ask during the show, if they do, i don't think it will during winter 2019, they are still working on some stuff with the A360X series, like the dongle.
That dongle is a double edge, i wish it was integrated directly in the light, but having 1 WiFi connection is way better overall, specialy for LFS or museum, etc...

Makes me want them more now :(!
Get your wallet ready haha :P

That was very much appreciated. Will the new Kessils be fully functional through the Apex without the spectral controller though. It appears not. Seems as though you need the controller now. That seems to be a question that was not addressed. Or, am I missing something. I still really like these new lights.

I will be honest, i don't use Apex controller. So i'm not sure how its currently connected, im assuming the stereo jack output. Now it's usb-c, maybe theres a better way to now connected them to apex ? Maybe also with the future dongle ?

Meh. I don't get it. This isn't screaming new generation light, but more of an update for the sake of update?

Perhaps the dongle but I don't see how. The updates appear significant enough but the price point is still pretty darn high and now it appears you must use the Kessil brand updated controller. It's nice but not $450 per + controller $ nice.

I think they just didn't overhype stuff. The spread and output increase is significant. The new size is significant. The new control is significant. Hopefully they changed the diode setup in a way that it can get as dark blue as the 160 can.

The feature i'm thrill with this is : Dimming, it's a real dimming light, well made, in the controller (and the app) you will have the moonlight blue or red.
Having more output is great, covering more area too, i will test the output of this if it's truly 25% or just because of the new LED added take create more output. (no exatcly sure)

On my tnak i use T5 Purple, i don't feel the spectrum right, after seing with my own eyes the Violet/Indigo spectrum, it's extremly appleasing !
This light will be popular among LFS and museum i think because having the ability to control every light with one dongle, it generate way less WiFi interfering !
on the other has consummer, you have to pay more for this option, so it's a double edge decision.

On the AP700 you have the ability to add "puck" to diffuse the light, now you will have this option for the new A360X, which is great.
Everyone have their on taste, so having the option to modulate the light i think is a great idea, for consumer(option) and the company(money).
