Tank in question Nuvo 20 aio
I have been considering purchasing an Orphek Compact to replace a single Kessil a360x or switching to two Kessils. Tank is no where near to the point of being concerned about shading from the single point light, but would like to be prepared for when the time comes. Plus I know it would be better to grow out my frags under the same light system from frag to colony vs making the switch once they mature.
I have concidered hybrid t5/led my concensus is that I would have to leave the back 1 or 2 bulbs out of the available systems on the market, or would there potential benifit to having the front t5 hang about 1/2 inch over the glass allowing more light reflection to the front/underside of sps colonies as well as leaving 1 of the rear bulbs in.(concerned about throwing to much light down the rear filtration chamber will probably purchase intank cover to help).
Edit: I can't edit the title and apparently noir can I spell ;Facepalm
Thanks

). Having said that and spending other peoples money there is another option although pricier but a cleaner install would be to consider the ATI straton (1100 or so bucks) or the Philips Coral Care gen 2 (close to 1k when adding controller module). Both would provide a single source of light with full coverage.
