Kessil spectral controller issue

So I bought a kessil a160 and a spectral x controller (used). The controller was essentially new in the box. Problem is I cant set date and time at all. Like I scroll to the time and hit select and it changes to some other time. Does this every time and the day/month/year setting does the same. Says the year is 1120 or in that range. Any one have any idea whats going on?

I would first make sure it isn't stuck in Demo Mode. As someone who does support this happens a lot.

Ah. How do you know if it is on demo mode?
