Kessil/Spectrum controller question

I have two kessil a360, linked together with a unit link cable.

When I try and connect them both to the spectrum controller, I can only get the controller to control one light.

Now when they are connected via unit link cable, adjusting one light controls both light's.

Do I need to have each light coneccted via unit link cable to the spectrum controller? Figured I wouldn't have to since they are already linked together.

Negative. There is a setting on the controller to indicate that you are using two lights.

You link the first light to the controller and the second light to the first light then you control the first light and the second does whatever the first light does.
