This is my tri color valida acropora when i first got it

This was it right before I switched to Kessil with T5 suppliments

Started w/ Reefbreeders, then t5 and RB, and now kessil and RB. Soon to be only Kessil. In the last 6 years this is the best growth I've had with the Kessil's and several more are coming. Some of the acro I had for years that did nothing all this time took off after adding the kessil's. And to boot it's the best shimmer and colors of all the lights I've seen IMO.

No problem yes they absolutely can. Water quality should be your main concern. Keeping stable parameters. I would start with an easy sps such as a birdsnest or entrusting montipora. They tend to be more forgiving then the higher demand acropora

Start with a red planet acro. I've had a couple tank crashes and RP lived through both while monti and birdsnest died. Keep alk above 7 and ca above 380 and you'll be fine.
