I have a 2x2x4 mixed reef tank and im running cheap leds right now. And wanting to upgrade but cant deside if i want 1 kessil ap700 or 2 kessil a360. But cant deside. And i have a apex and want to control them. Any advice would help.

on a 4' long tank (Mixed) I would suggest 3 A360W or A360WE if wanting success with SPS and a single point source Kessil.

I'd second that. I have 90g 48x18 and had two A360we, but added (4) T5s to give better spread. Ran for a couple years. Kessils by themselves did a poor job of light spread. I upgraded to two radion XR30 G4s and am really happy with the choice. Two AP700s would be pretty amazing, but really expensive.

I have them on a maintenance tank. A 6' tank has two 700AP on them and gives a great and consistent light spread. No way I would put two of these on a 4' tank....I think that would be overkill, big time. Each fixture has 2 lights in it. There's a video done by BRS that was very informative and in it he talked about the consistency of the PAR of these lights and a big plus is that they keep the correct spectrum no matter what color of lighting you choose....the only thing you really need to worry about is intensity. You can set them with the controls on the fixtures or you can use an app to link them to you IOS and set them that way. Put your SPS higher up and keep the LPS low in the tank. Biggest thing to watch is that you don't fry the critters with too much light intensity.

A single AP700 is stronger than 2x A360. On a 4ft tank you can do 2x AP700 and will be able to grow whatever you want everywhere. My brother-in-law runs a single AP700 on a reefer 350 and has no issues with mixed corals. He has SPS right under the pucks and then LPS/softies everywhere else. He has had no losses yet from all the corals he moved from his old tank run by T5 only.

For the price of an AP700 you could find someone selling their XR30W Pro's and buy 2. You'd need a WXM module to control them with you APEX. I have 2x XR30 Pro's and a XR15 Pro over my 36x24x18 tank controlled through my APEX and love them.

I have 1 360 w-e over my 60 gal cube and I get great coverage. They are made to cover a 24 x 24 inch area. Love it. Two of these would be fine.
