Hello everybody. I have a thread on our local reef clubs section figured I would put one here too.

I have a 36 gallon bow front tank
Hob filter w/ built in surface skimmer
hydor 500gph pump
Maxijet 500gph pump (not on)
150 watt heater
maybe 40lbs of live rock, not real sure I know I added 20.5 lbs
Unknown amount of sand
evo 100watt 14k/460/450 led fixture

I purchased the tank and there was a bucket of dry rock and a half bucket of sand. Only equipment that was usable was the hydor and the 130watt pc fixture but I upgraded to leds.
The tank and equipment had a thick later of hard white buildup so that is why most of the equipment was messed up
Made the stand, eggcrate top, and led fixture hanger myself

Finished cycling and added my first livestock 1/29/13

Current stock:
2 fancy occ clownfish
2 blue green chromis
1 firefish
1 blue pistol shrimp
15 hermit crabs
Over 200 dwarf ceriths
8 Florida ceriths
7 nerites
6 astrea snails
Over 20 nassarius vibrex
All sorts of other critters including brittle stars and mussels

Corals:
Briareum Gargonian
Dragons Eye Polyp
Polythoa (2 kinds)
Unknown Polyp
Mushrooms (4 or 5 kinds)
Cyphastrea
Green Star Polyps
Frogspawn
Candy Cane (2)
Green Candy Cane

Pulsating Xenia (2)
Cabbage Leather (2)
And what I think is clove polyps

Yes they can and it can be very loud.

Ok well Saturday night my pistol shrimp got ahold of my firefish. There was literally nothing left. I tore everything out trying to find the remains Sunday morning and found nothing. Went to the lfs I got him from and they said it was him that ate him and they would give me full credit for him back. So Monday morning I took all my coral and live rock out to catch him and took him back. With the money from the shrimp I bought a six line wrasse and it happened that they had a firefish in the tank with him so I bought it too to replace my firefish. I'm still mad about it. He was one of the coolest fish I had hopefully the new one will have a personality like the old one.

Since digging in my rock and sand my nitrates were at 40 today so I done a 10 gallon pwc.

Not sure if I like my new rock arrangement. I have figured out it's impossible to get the rock back the same way

Very nice tank like the coral selections might go find some of that space invaders one that looks pretty sweet

Thanks. Yeah the space invaders are pretty sweet. They look better now that they are almost fully opened
