Hello everyone,

I'll start off talking a little about myself first. My name is Kevin, I live in Southern Indiana. I have been in the saltwater hobby since about early December. I currently have a 14 gallon BioCube with two picasso clowns, peppermint shrimp, three turbo snails, emerald crab, and a few hermits.

I recently came across a great deal on a buy sell and trade Facebook page. The gentlemen posted a full setup 90 gallon system last July. After 6 months he still had no one interested in buying it. Below is the posting. I am purchasing this for $200.

Now the guy haven't been in the house with the tank for the last seven months, he told me that he is not even sure if there is any livestock still available or if the tank is still running. The tank has been in the care of his soon to be ex wife. So I had my doubt's on the tank.

Well I went and viewed the tank today and the livestock is still alive and the tank isnt in the best condition.

I will be updating this thread as progess continues. I am scheduled to pick everything up Friday. I do not plan to keep what's left of the current livestock as I will keep the tank broken down to clean everything really good and take my sweet time.

My first thing on my to-do list will be reinforcing the stand or possible buying a new one. The figure out the best way to clean the aquarium and sump right at the start.

I found a home for the livestock that is left, that will allowe to take my time setting this back up.

I broke the tank down today... That was awful. I have quite a lot of work today.

I have to clean the sump out, either buy a new stand or reinforce that one.

Alright, its been a couple of days. Here's my progress so far:

I trashed the old stand and purchased a new one. Finally got the aquarium and sump cleaned the best I could. As you can see I have some adjustments to make to the plumbing.

Hey Kevin,

The progress is looking great :)
What fish do you plan to add for this tank?

I haven't put much thought into that yet, I've just been so busy trying time get everything cleaned and sterilized, making sure all the equipment is working properly. I'll probably sit down tonight or tomorrow and start planning out what fish I want.

Wow amazing deal Kevin! I have a 90 gallon sitting in my garage that is just waiting to be used.
It was just to good of a deal to pass up!

Get it out of the garage and start filling it up [emoji38]

The thread really isn't organized and as nice as some of the ones on here, but the points still get across. Thanks man!
It's nice too see your enthusiasm for the hobby , it's great too see the progress you've made already .. and I'm sure it will be an awesome tank when It's done ..

Looking good kevin!!!!!
Thanks Jason, I'm sure I will move things around 100 more times but this is what I'm sticking to right now.

In the process of filling/mixing water now, 30 gallons done 60 to go!

Looking really good! Are your rocks touching the back glass or not?
