Hello everyone...

I'm looking at installing the KH Director and have a question I don't see asked elsewhere. There are, effectively, 2 water outputs on the Director, 1 via the waste water pump and 1 via the "Vent Connector"/emergency drain in the rear of the unit.

I have an 1/4" silicone RO line available that runs from my DT location to the basement that can run directly into a slop sink.

Would it be possible to connect both the waste water output and the "Vent Connector" output, via a 3-way connector, to the same basement-bound RO tube? I'm concerned that the pump pressure might push water back into the Vent Connector. Maybe a one-way valve? I also don't know how much water actually comes out of the Vent Connector on a regular basis...

Not certain if this is a good idea or not, so, any thoughts or concerns would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Joe

If you use the “alternative” reagent (0.1Nm HCL) you can just put both straight into your sump.. like the guys with the KHG do. Same reagent

This is what people (me included) have been using instead of the GHL reagent.. cheaper and can be dumped in sump (will be incredibly diluted by your water sample), obviously being an acid you will need to increase a tinch your ALK dosing (as when dosing vinegar i.e.)..
