My water sample line is on hump going up and then a decline from the Director/pump. After running a test, the water comes out of the tube. Is there a way to keep the water from escaping?

Am i doing this wrong? Isn’t it supposed to keep the tube full in between tests?

Is the water supposed to drain out between every test cycle? Is that what i am doing wrong?

Also, i just tried recalibrating my probe and i keep getting this:

It flushes the sample in line between tests so you're not testing old water, later. As well, keep both the drain and vent lines above the waste container level as it fills, they can't be submerged or it will mess readings up.

Kyl,

Thank you. I have been trying f to wrap my head around why my measurements were off lately and It May have been due to a full waste container. Trying to see if this helps now. Thanks!

Full waste container will 100% mess the testing up. Even submerged waste / vent lines in the waste container will. Initially I had my vent line hanging in the jug, but the waste line was about halfway in the jug, I had endless problems. I then moved both to the cap via a barb bulkhead I took off some old kamoer dosing containers and it instantly corrected my ~1 - 1.4 dKH inaccuracy issue.

That sounds like a great idea. Wonder if anyone sells anything like that to add to waste container. I am using an old milk jug for now.

I didn't match sizes so don't blindly order but this combo is going into my 2.5g waste container cap.

Just another option, RC aircraft and car guys use fuel and they have special fuel caps to pump fuel back and forth from jugs. Relatively cheap stuff you can find in a hobby shop.

This is kinda what you’re looking for.
