KH Director

I’m about to get my KH director and am reorganizing my sump area.

Is there a maximum length for the sample line?

Just make sure the sample line is in a calm section and secured. I found out the hard way that if it moves around it is not acurate.

Loving the updated firmware with graphing finally! I didn't backup anything before doing the upgrade and had to setup from scratch.

I purchased a use KH Director and need tubing. I have silicone tubing for the Doser to Director connections.

What tubing do I need for the reagent line, sample line, and vent line?

Is there a source for these, or do I need to order them from GHL?

The reagent line seems to be some type of vinyl, whatever will hold up to acid exposure long term. The other sample and waste lines are just a heavier duty grade silicone tubing.

1/4” Polyethylene for reagent. Silicone tubing is used on the other areas. I have found both types tubing in places like Home Depot, pet stores that have air tubing and hobby shops that sell RC cars.

The most important part is the inside diameters and knowing them for calculating the dosing. Watch the KH director set up videos and you will see what I’m referring to.

The Doser lines is 1/4 poly, but what matters is the Inner Diameter of the tubing because if it's too big the doser connections will be too loose resulting In leaks/blown off connections.

Plus the inner diameter matters along with the length for it to know how much fluid is moved through it when the sample is taken.

Hey guys,
I just wanted to jump in because I really need some help. After replacing a couple doser heads I was able to get my readings rock solid. 4 months later I'm back to unstable and all over the chart. I know the test results are inaccurate because they're fluctuating out of a realistic range.

Can anyone help with these returning accuracy issues.

Personally, I am nervous about calibrating my probe because the probe leaked and I finally got it securely inserted using vaseline and a ton of elbow grease.
