Hi everyone,

new to R2R from Oz.

I was wondering if anyone knows the concentration of the AF kh plus/ Mg plus and Ca plus.
I am using AF powders with components strong balling method as well as the AF premade kh/Mg/ Ca plus, to adjust levels. I want to start making these up myself with the powdered buffer Mg and Ca.

I assume the concentrations are the same as with making up the balling solutions at 50g/l Ca, 10g/L Mg and 80g/L buffer (sorry not good enough at maths for gallons)?

Thanks

Yes,

That is the formula I am using but these are for maintaining levels of base elements with the trace elements in balance.

I'm interested to know what concentration the Mg plus/ kH plus / Ca plus solutions are so I can replicate this myself.

Mg Plus and Ca plus is more concentrated than standard recipe.
KH Buffer could not be more concentrated.
On our website you can find information about concentration.

Ca Plus:
10ml of the solution increases Ca level of 10mg/l in 100l of water.
Calcium:
100ml Calcium solution increases by about 17,5mg/l (ppm) in 100L of water.

Mg Plus:
10ml of the solution increases Mg level of 5mg/l in 100l (27 US gal.) of water.
Magnesium:
100ml Magnesium solutions increases by about 1,2mg/l (ppm) in 100L of water.

My question is how many grams of Af calcium powder do I add to one litre of RO/DI to make the same concentration as the pre made bottle of Ca plus ?

How many grams of Af magnesium powder to 1 litre if RO/DI to make the same concentration as the pre made bottle of Mg plus?

How many grams of Af kh buffer do I add to 1 litre of RO/DI to make the same concentration as kH plus?

Thanks

Aquaforest has ready solutions: Ca Plus, KH Plus and Mg Plus or recommended mixing for powdered forms.
This created and calculated by us and we are responsible for this recipes.
If someone wants to make own solutions, please use own calculations.

Here is video tutorial how to prepare own classic Balling Method solutions using Aquaforest products:

Thanks

I'll use the same concentration as for making the component solutions and adjust as needed

10 grams per liter of the Aquaforest Mg to make the Mg+
