Well my tank has a high level of Alkalinity and fair level of calcium and I don't know what the problem could be any ideas?
Alkalinity:13 drops
Calcium:450
PH:8.4

Alkalinty cannot go up unless you are dosing. If you are not dosing your test are not accurate. What does 13 drops mean?

I know exactly what you are going through. I get customers at my job with the same issue.

Would assume your using an API test? What else are you dosing in your tank? What's your calcium and ph level?

You posted that your ALK is 13 Drops.. We don't know what the ALK reading is to give proper advise.

Alk at 13 is just a tad high, nothing to worry about, as it will lower itself quickly.
Cal at 450 is not high.
And the problem can stem from your salt mix, some mix at higher levels than others. What kind are you using?

You should be good.

I believe Brightwell salt has a low alkalinity. No way for alk to be that high unless you are dosing something or your salinity is very high.

You're not dosing anything? Anything at all?
