Hi all
I clearly have signs of itch and need to set up a quarantine tank but I’m leaving for 3 different weeks of vacation over thenext couple months and only have someone to watch the fish not handle water changes in a quarantine tank. Would using the combination of kick ice and rally pro stave it off long enough to get past my time away so I can properly quarantine? I know it’s a long shot,
also once I set up a quarantine tank do I keep adding food or something to keep the bacteria alive, and I’m assuming all other creatures and corals can stay in my tank with no issues?
also I have a 10 gallon tank but I assume I need 20-30 minimum
I have 7 fish and a total 80 gallon system, all my fish are 4”and under
thx for any help

It is a long shot - neither of those products are consistently good at dealing with ich. I have not used them together though.

7 fish are going to be too many for a ten gallon tank, even if they are tiny. If they are 2"+, even a 30 gallon is going to be a tight fit.

Are you sure of your ich diagnosis? How many spots (roughly) do the fish have on them?

I lost a black cap basslet that had around 5-10 and my powder blue tang the week before whic had a varying amount
Some days very few some days seemed like a ton
And now a Midas blenny biting it’s tail and constantly diving into the sand and scratching itself all over the rocks

So - that has me questioning the diagnosis - fish should not die from ich if they only have 5 to 10 spots. Also, the Midas blenny sounds more like flukes.

It is unfortunate, but you may have two infections going on at the same time - flukes and ich.

If you post a video under white light, I might be able to diagnose things a bit more surely.....
