I am cycling my first tank with a combination of 25% live rock, 75% dry rock.
I haven’t had the lights on, so I missed this guy until today. Any ideas as to what it is? It less than 3mm in diameter. When it closes it disappears. It has at least 15 “fingers”.
If it does it is in the rock. It is in a nook and really hard to see. It was a fluke I even saw it today. I turn the tank light on when I am doing testing and water change. I got called away and left the light on. It was open when I came back in. Could have been there since the start.
I see a Limpet, not sure of kind, too small. I see no reason to remove it. Some Atlantic types have been known to dine on Seriatopora/Birdnest Coral, but this rare in my experience.
Good spot! I see that now also. Would need to take a screw driver to get that little booger off, used to have one. Also known as volcano snails because they spew sperm or eggs out of the hole on the top of their shell.
