Kill or Save? Not sure what it is.

Was checking out my hammer and noticed this guy. At first I thought it was the start of new growth but then I looked closer and it looks more like a slug. Is this a good guy or a kill it with fire bad guy?

Looks like a Stomatella which are harmless. Leave in they eat algae.
