Killer Crab!!!!!

Can somebody ID this crab, he ate pretty much everything, Lost a good size colony of blue tubbs, a bunch of snails, my star has 2 missing legs, finally i had to take him out!!! here are some pics.

Took a while but i was able to get him with a small net, he was turning my tank upside down, my small firefish had missing fins, i had to do something.

I once heard a rule that if the tips of the claws are black, that they are predatory...I don't know any truth to that, but I tend to lean toward the "all crabs are evil" attitude....

I believe that is a crab from the family of calico crabs... They will catch fish and eat everything.

I regret not saving it, but I didn't have where to put it. But at the same time it took a lot of work to get it out.

He wasn't that big I think around 3-4 inches, but he was really fast.
