I just found a rogue bit of xenia that's attached itself inside a hole. Any tips on killing it? A few options I'm considering:
-pull the rock and squirt it with vinegar
-pluck what I can and stuff the hole with aquascaping putty
-let it grow until I can get a good grip and pull the whole stalk at once.

Can I just pluck/shred what I can reach and fill the hole with some sand and let it die?

Let it grow unit you can get a good grip on it and pull it off. Only bad thing is if any is left in there it will grow back, but putting putty in there might fix that. Hopefully there wouldn't be much left over that would break down and pollute the water. I wouldn't do anything drastic that would negatively affect the tank, it isn't worth that.

...and if you get it out... send it to me! Lol.

If you want some come and get it, I think it's beautiful stuff - when it stays where I want it! lol
I usually end up pulling off the larger stalks from the rock I keep it on just to make sure it stays put. What I pull ends up in the trash.

Wish shipping wouldn't be terrible from Canada. I'd pay for shipping to have you send me some. Its Xenia we could do like a 3 day I'm sure it would survive. Haha.
