Killing the hydroids on my rock.

I have some hydroids of a few pieces of rock. What is the best way to kill them? How do I go about it? I have already pulled the rock out of my tank.

Are you able to continue running your tank without the rock? If so best bet would be to bleach wash the rock to get rid of them all and clean the rock. Then you'd have clean rock to put in.

I only took pout the 3 pieces that I saw hydroids on, so I still have enough, I hope. How do I do the bleaching, then what do I have to do with the rock before I put it back in?
