Anyone have any experience with this light? Thinking of putting one over my 10gal coral quarantine tank.

Aquarium Light, KINGBO 18W Aquarium LED Light Fish Tank Light Bulb with 6-Band Full Spectrum for Coral Reef Saltwater Tank Plants Growth

No experience, but it should be OK.

I know your thread is from last September but I was wondering if you purchased the Kingbo and if so how has it worked out? I'm curious if there are drawbacks like heat, etc. It says it stays fairly cool. I can't find much info about this light so was hoping to get feedback from folks here that have used it. The other light I came across is called Lominie. The Lominie has 4 programmable channels and is dimmable (and comes with the gooseneck). The Kingbo says 6 bands (which I assume is channels) but it's not dimmable and it doesn't mention that it's programmable. It also doesn't come with a gooseneck/support.

Many years ago, there were a ton of people on nanoreef who used par38 bulbs in their early days, they found incredible success with them at that time, and I would imagine the results have only improved. Dig deep and you will find some good info on them

Awesome. Thanks for this! I'm glad to read people found success with them! They look impressive for the price but being new to SW tanks I freely admit that lighting is something I'm still ramping up on.

check around here for more, reef2reef is the bomb, but some good stuff from times before can be found on these sites!
These par38's have slightly different layouts, but should be fairly similar in terms of output, if not improved by now.
Also that post was from 2011 :)

Thanks for that link! Dinding favorable threads talking about the Par38's is a relief! It took me about 1-1/2 years just to narrow down the tank that would work for me so I didn't want to take another 1-1/2 years to pick a light. Haha. With the tank being only a 5g I don't need anything too sophisticated, just functional.
