Hi Reef2Reef!

I had a 50gal mix reef tank for more than 5yrs and for as much as I wanted to keep my old tank back in the Philippines, life happened and I have to move abroad. As soon as I set my foot in a new land, my love for reefing has not passed. And so I started to research on the how’s and where’s and who’s of setting up a new tank. Obtaining a bigger tank would cost me a lot so I just opted for a nano tank, much to my delight because I also have a limited space. I am now in the process of setting up a 20x20 display tank and like how most of the people here are fond of doing, DIY style.

Thanks! I'm planning to get the AI prime. I think its just right for my tank and my budget as well.

Newbie question: Can you explain what the additional return pipe and valve going back into the sump is used for? Is it on all the time or only for certain occasions? Will this be a refugium? Thanks!

Same question ....... What is the additional black pipe doing back in sump ??

Plumbing is 100% done. The return with LocLine in it is for my mini fuge. And the other one, which is just below the swing check valve is for my reactor. I'll get the BRS mini reactor.
