Pekking duck is sooooooo good.... I may have to beg my sister for her recipe. The duck is work... But it is soo worth it. I wont have restaurant style tools. But, I can manage.

Gators aren't loud, lightning bugs I love. We have them here and I wanted my little one to play with them but he got freaked out. Next year!

I don’t know what you mean by not loud but when we visited a gator farm in Spain the guy triggered one to snap. That was surprisingly loud.
I would imagine when is snapping on someone’s leg that is loud too

I have to say that I'm with you James. It's better than the old Coke Zero but still leaves you with that aftertaste. I'm sorry KB, but I'll stick with my classic Coke minis.

This week has been so insane with work and then my, um, hasty purchases led to me having to throw the 40B together yesterday. Whoops.

I did receive an insanely beautiful Lime Green Warty Corallimorph that wasn't on a frag plug. I MacGyver'd a shroom basket out of a medicine cup, frag plug, rubber bands, and...the only tulle/mesh fabric I could find in a pinch.

Sacrifices were made.

Not bad, right?

You have proved an another DIY skills of yours. Amazing. MacGayver would have used a strow and a reason with the only tool is a cigarette lighter and it would have explode the barn in the yard but good effort I have to say

i have never vac'd the sand bed.
not in my last tank which ran for 10+ years before divorce/tear down.
not in this one which got wet august 2018.
i seeded the sand bed with spaghetti and bristle worms at setup.
i keep minimum of 5 tigers and probably now have over 100+ nassarius snails from all the repro going on.
why do i want to remove a food source for all those happy critters.

also: i have zero live/dry rock in my tank.
i never run a skimmer. algae scrubber only.
kinda unorthodox i know. but it works.

Wow...things have changed in the few years without a tank!!! Although I was never very diligent in sand vacuuming, I tried to do it as often as I could...lol...thanks good to know before I set up my next tank...yippee for me!!

It's been a slow tank week with having to go into the office. Things are on autopilot for the most part, and everything is holding steady. It definitely feels like today should be Friday, though. :/
