So I just bought a Klir di4 from another member and I am wondering for people who are currently running a klir or have run one in the past, what your opinion is on them. Any pros and cons?

Well you already bought it! Seriously I have a Di7 and like it a lot. Seems to work for me.

I own the 7. One of the best pieces of equipment i have purchased for my tank hands down. I love not having to change socks for 2+ months. :)
Had to do a bit of DIY for the sensor because of my sump, but it works perfectly.

Love mine. I modded it to work with Apex and dont use the standard controller. Honestly you could run a nice tank with it alone. I feel like it works better than a skimmer at filtering.

I got one the other day on my Marine X 60.2 and it is noisy as hell! after 2 days im thinking of taking it out again. It's like sitting next to a waterfall.

@fishybizzness I just purchased the Klir 4 and modified my Red Sea 250 to install it. I have details on my build thread. I’ll let you know how it works once the tank gets wet which I’m thinking will be within the next two weeks or less.

My Klir 4 looks like this after a couple days (transfer weell stocked 20 gallon nano into 50 gallon lagoon) and works perfectly in a figi 24 sump...

It every so often rolls up some crap... my skimmer has not even got any skimmate yet! Lol...

I put a piece of black expanded pvc over he other sock opening... works perfect, does not float or move...

I just put a sponge in the water where the water flows into in.... waterfall noise was solved for me...

Try spinning the unit so facing another direction too?

I just wet tested the system this weekend and nothing leaks! It's gotten pretty busy at work so the tank got put on the back burner. I will probably be transferring everything over from my 55 within the next few weeks. Where did you get the black expanded pvc? Looks like it works well.

Amazon has different size sheets

Got some skimmate starting to reach the skimmer cup. Took about a week. I got no complaints about the klir... nothing but praise... most everything else i have had to tweak while starting up this tank in the first week. Klir i just slapped together, wasn't sure i even did it right, and its been hands off and performing well...
