Not sure who’s bought one has there been any hiccups on this filter before I drop the cash I wanna make sure it works cause honestly done with clogged socks all the dang time and done the cups no my cup of tea

How much is 25yards of fleece? Sounds like CoralVue is setting you up as a Revenue Stream paying them $$$ per month

I have filter socks I've been using for 2+yrs and only cost me $7 a sock..... then there's the 99cent gal of bleach I wash them in. Pretty cheap filtering setup

Sounds like Coralvue is making smthg that will costs a heck of a lot more than $7 filter socks....you still gotta empty the fleece roll at the end. and its NON REUSABLE....Betcha the roll smells lovely

$13.99 ea considering the sock cost think this is a better deal

And I don’t do the wash thing just ain’t got that kind of time and I’ve heard a lot of pros and cons about it just my opinion

Plz dont take this the wrong way .....but you're in the wrong hobby if you ain't gotta a lot time.....

No Ill feeling I think you took my statement wrong way time to collect a ton of socks and wash them in a machine I don’t have time for being in this hobby has nothing to do with having a time to wash socks when’s there’s other methods honestly I just asked if someone has bought and used the filter

I am looking at it as a cost of convenience, it is more expensive than socks, but if works as expected I will be able to go weeks without worrying about changing clogged socks, sitting and turning dirty socks inside out and washing socks. Thats another thing you can say about this hobby, its a money pit and if your worried about money, keep tropicals!! I've tried cups, mesh socks, fleece socks etc.. I find all a pain. All that being said, i just got my Klir today, I'm very impressed by build quality and fit/finish, looks real nice and was easy to assemble. I have a Ice Cap 36 sump and it fits perfectly in the one sock container and only protrudes about 4-5 inches so very compact. If this one works i'm definitely going to get a slave unit which will fit nicely in the other sock compartment. I'll post again with an update once i have it running.

Can't wait to see the results.

I can't wait to see the initial feedback, it looks like the design could be what brings the filter roll to the mainstream. Looks really clever.

Mine has been running for just 3 days, so far so good.

One thing I noticed is the clean part of the roll rubs against the dirty side sometimes. This transfer ends up being on the outside of the roll and will get pushed out into the sump when that section is pulled down.

This is great feedback so far thanks. Just curious, any insights into smell? Does the full dirty roll smell worse than socks? Just by the fact there is more dirty material at the end?

That explains so much as to why my sump is dirtier now. I can’t see the clear windows in the Klir Filter because of the way it’s installed, but it makes total sense. So frustrating. I’m disappointed in my unit and already received the replacement controller to correct an issue. I just submitted a second ticket today since the unit won’t roll up the fleece, the motor isn’t pulling properly.

I got the 4 model and I have had nothing but trouble with it.. 3-4 day fleece is gone, added new roll (what a pain this is).... alarm goes off all the time, Day and night (wife is not happy at all). The motor sometime will not roll the fleece.. again alarm goes off. The top of the tower has a very sharp edge and the fleece locks up on it... had to sand it round to stop this... I just wasted $250.00 on this thing.. -100 stars.. you been warned.

Look at the top of the tower were the fleece turn at a 90... this is sharp and locks it up.. sand this round to smooth it out... help me with this problem.
