My KLIR filter is overzealous. I came back after one day to about a quarter of the roll gone. As I rolled it back I saw it was still pretty clean so I rolled it back to the very beginning and I turned the filter so the water is not hitting a sensor from the side just in case that’s what it wise. But it’s still moving and the filter still pretty clean. So what I’m wondering is could I make a small bracket here and put the sensor here? The idea is that when the water does start pouring out it’ll immediately bring the roll up because the water will be hitting the sensor.

This is where the water flows out when the sock is normally clogged.

Not sure if you’ve gotten anywhere with this yet. I put the sensor facing the back of the sump so it isn’t getting water splash. It rolls about an 1” of filter once an hour. Still in the first 24 hours and only really about 6 hours into success because of the overzealous sensor as you called it. I had to put the motor on the “front” because my water bridge was in the way but have the sensor on the “back”. You can see the motor facing the overflow - the sensor is on opposite side.
