These corals are in my RSM 250(66gal) "LE Tank", 40gal F.I.T.M. frag tank, or the 75 gal display.

These 1st pictures are pretty old now, but im always getting more corals to update the thread!

Today I decided it was time for a few more shots....of course the chalices caught my eye

In post 3 picture #3,I have the same peice.When I had first bought it,it came in just a a purple and green Favia,nothing special.After 4 weeks in my tank,the growth has been explosive,and the peice has morphed.The outer coralites of these peice are a deep red coloration,and the purple inner coralites have delveloped a white/gray coloration along the top of each little bump(i forget the proper name).I find it very neat.I like it,not Tyree quality as far as Im concerned.But I was just wounderig,if this is same thing that is happening with yours?

MINE IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS YOU DESCRIBED YOURS!!! IT IS ALREADY GROWING ONTO MY ROCKS!

Ive been calling it alien eye favia..because its purple/red and has neon green eyes..as green as my jf sour apple

I have called it the same thing....lol....I called it the alien eye favia.I dont know why its doing this,but I like it ALOT.The growth is very fast,and very good,When fragmented out by the eye,the peice grows super fast,compared to as if you were to take and propagate it by the 5-10 eye peice.

The coloration seems to look better after the peice has been fed.

I feed every eye.What do you do?Do you feed it?What do you have the coral under as of lighitng?Does the peice always have its feeders out?Mine does.

Yes on feeders .. i feed it brine,mysis,krill,baby brine, cyclops

I can frag mine because it is attatched to the rocks. . ..
