I recently purchased an Autoaqua ATO/AWC. I’m terrible about water changes (for the most part I don’t do them) but I hoped the AWC feature will make the task easier. That way, I might actually do them!

So, two weeks ago, I set the Autoaqua up and have since done two 5-gallon water changes. I found that my pH is more stable which is good as I struggle with pH. This weekend I tested parameters and guess what I got?

Alkalinity 9.3 (Hanna)
Calcium 398 (Hanna)
Magnesium 1350 (Salifert)
Phosphate 0.04 (Red Sea)
Nitrate 4.0 (Red Sea)
Salinity 1.026
pH 8.15 (Apex probe)

I added a little extra BRS calcium to bring up the calcium to 440. But.... this is the first time in months that all my parameters are where I want them, all at the same time. I’m thrilled! Keep your fingers crossed for me that they stay that way.
