sponges which are short lived and thrive off silicates found in RO UNITS or tap water
They favor dark shady areas of tank

Normally harmless, and it’s very common in new set ups. Eventually they tend to disappear on their own

Theyre safe and will disippate and vanish in time. You may also scrape off with the edge of a redit card into a net and discard
