I have to agree with you sounds to good to be true. I can't shed light on them since I have not had any experience with them. If you get them please share your experience with them. Many people do buy the cheap ebay fixtures with no complaints.

Mine are similar. I think the whites are to warm. The spacing is awkward and the Reds and greens don't blend well. I don't care for the utilitarian look of them either. I haven't used them long enough to report on coral growth but I suspect they were partially to blame for my algea outbreak. I recommend better lighting.

2 units on my 240g 8' long tank. Need anymore shots??
I removed the 120 degree optics.

They're normal cheap Ebay, Amazon or everywhere else led fixtures and if your looking to spend less then 200$ on 2 120watt Led lights then you've found you lights!
I had these lights in the past and while I agree they don't blend the greatest (reds and greens) but they will work and actually do a half decent job. Lots and lots of people run these types of lights with great results and others hate them.
I got rid of mine for Radions w/T5's but not everyone wants to spend that much.
I'd definitely say remove the optics unless you have a deep tank.

Are you going to use for reef or FOWLR? I've had one of the older versions (blue/white only) over my 60g reef with no complaints ( mostly zoas, LPS, monti's, no sticks). It is going on two years. I tried the full spectrum Tao and did not like the colors. I'm planning to add four (maybe three) to light my 240g FOWLR.

Those leds are low end leds, they work, but not for high requirements corals (sps). They are very simple, and for that cheap.
It will all depend on what you need. For fish only and Softys they do the job.

btw, I have that lamp, I use it in a fresh water tank with shrimps and plants ;) work great there!

Typical Import.

I would ensure at least the drivers and power supply are UL Listed.
