So I have read a lot and heard a lot with both sides saying that they are ok in a reef and not ok . I wanted to get your opinions about the Kole Eye before I decide to buy one or not . Thanks !

I have an SPS dominant tank. My yellow eyed kole tang has been reef safe But fish can be different.

They are reef safe. They will look at the rock and glass surfaces first then rotate through LPS and SPS hard skeletons if they have algae. They will not pick at polyps, mushrooms, or other similar soft corals. They are bristletooth which more or less scrape rocks and similar surface areas. So you may see them "pick" at a lps or sps base but it isn't like someone going to eat. It is scraping off the algae.

I have an SPS dominate system with over 75 pieces and my Yellow Eyed Kole Tang has never touched any of them. I love the fish and it is a model citizen. Grazes on rocks and glass all day.

Great news Thanks again folks !

I don't have any issues with my yellowed eyed kole tang in my mixed reef. Recently I've seen it nipping at a new gorgonian in the tank but I think it is cleaning it and not eating the flesh.
