Kole or Tomini tang

Kole is great fish. I have one - less linear swimming than other surgeon fish and beautiful fish with purple blue and yellow eyes.

MURedhawk do you have any pictures of your kole tang, if so can you post them. i would really like to see your kole tang.

When you say he's happier, how has his behavior changed? Just curious thanks

The major thing I realized is he doesn't seem nearly as jumpy/paranoid. He's grown and colored up a decent amount since the transition. It hasn't been all that long either. Overall it's fairly hard to explain but you can tell the fish is more comfortable.

I went to my local LFS and I got................................................ A Yellow eyed kole tang! he is in my QT tank right now and is eating already!

Having plenty of rock work for the fish to swim through, up , under, around helps immensely, and lessens bullying.

As another said...they are similar...both being bristle tooth tangs that stay on the smaller size...so do you like the purple of the kole or the yellow/brown/orang of the tomini...
With that there are a few other fun bristle tooths....white cheek, white spotted blue eye, and the two spot....

Could you show me thoes I’m seeing all diff kinds under thoes names?

My yellow eye tang has fantastic deep purple body and is def boss of the tank, he gives chase to most of my other fish at some point but nothing massively serious
Id struggle too add more fish I think tho
