Added a kole Tang yesterday and was swimming with all the other fish and following the wrasse like they are buddies. This morning he didn't come out of the rocks but was swimming around back there. Then about 11 he was on his side with the peppermint shrimp on him. I took him out of the tank and put him in a bowl till I could make a in tank quarantine box. Here are some pictures of him. What could it be. He is the only Tang in the tank.

What type of wrasses? What are any other fish in the tank?
kinda looks like it injured itself squeezing into the rocks.

If have on hand a bath in methylene blue may help. In case the sores get infected might help to grab some antibiotics now To have.

I have a corris wrasse, malanarus wrasse, 2 clowns, new flame hawk added at the same time as the Tang, àlgae blenny, chaulk bass, 2 sissor tail gobies. Watchman gobies, 2 emerald crabs.

An algae blenny can be aggressive to another competitor. Is the coris wrasse a true coris or a yellow?
What size is the tank?

Prolly just a yellow wrasse. Doesn't have any green in his head . It's a 100gal
