Need help,

this was the previous thread: https://www.reef2reef.com/posts/4657709/

Didnt see much of anything happening besides flaring and what not, since the kole tang is smaller I assumed the foxface would sting it and that would be the end of that.

But today this is what I discovered :( do you guys think it's game over for the foxface or is it a disease?

I feed twice a day, flakes and mysis (both eat) and Nori constantly available (which I've seen them eat)

Kole is nice and plump
Foxface is a bit slim but just like any other picture of a foxface.

tank is 125 gal 6 ft long. I was thinking of adding a yellow tang soon anyway, is this a bad idea or would that calm the kole down?

I'm just sad that this happened to the poor foxface :(

Jesus! Following along. My guess would be that it can recover given enough time and protection.

I'm stressed out, not sure how to deal with it, kole tang so freaking fast to catch. I have a sad feeling my foxface is going to pass, idk how it could recover even though it did nibble on some food

Foxface is in its final moments :( , feeling really discouraged from the hobby. LFS is confused too because I did exactly what they told me to do as well, they said it could be a parasite/disease which caused the firefox to become weak and allow itself to get bullied. Kole tang is still fat and healthy as well as all the other fishes, corals, and inverts. Really disappointed I couldnt save this guy. Gotta deal with this bully Kole now

Did you actually see the tang going after it causing damage?

For my tang, it was aggressive and when I added my hawkfish he was beating on him in the bottom corner of my tank. I remember someones else's suggestion to print a picture of a tang, larger, and tape it on the outside of the tank. It took a few mins but once the tang saw the picture, it stopped. I left if up for a week, took it down and never had a problem since. I've shared this with a few others and it's worked for them (again, not my idea but I read about it). I've also heard a small mirror can work too...

Any type of tang or the same as the kole? I will definitely try this
