Kole Tang Mark on side

I just bought this Kole Tang and put it in QT. After a couple of days it has this mark on it. It was smaller yesterday, bigger today. I've also been having trouble getting him to eat. He's eaten very little. Any suggestions what this is?

I'd suspect something bacterial. I have seen discoloration such as this on tangs that are in copper. Keep an eye on the spot. If it continues to grow instead of receed I would dose metroplex/Kanaplex/Furan-2 all together.

Are you offering a variety of frozen foods and nori on a veggie clip?

As far as not eating, my kole tang was extremely shy and refused to eat the entire 3 weeks in qt. It only started eating once moved into the display.

Feeding mysis, bloodworms (had a tang take to those quicker), nori on a clip. I've seen some people say their fish seemed to eat better when not alone like other fish that are more likely to eat in QT. Others seen that?
