my cynarinas and acanthophyllia have been closed up pretty tight the last week or so . Noticed my kole tang nipping at them about two seemed benevolent at first now they are all closed up and looking unhappy . Has anyone heard of tangs developing a taste for LPS . All my other coral , Trachys , elegance , wellso all happy as can be just seems to be cynarina and acanthophyllia.

Yes, sometimes tangs will nip at corals, they contain zooxanthellae after all.

Is the Tang well fed with a varied diet? Perhaps it is missing something from it's diet or perhaps it decided your corals taste good or there isn't enough algae to graze on.

I bet if you googled tang nipping coral you would get a bunch of threads :) I believe hippos are more notorious for it though.

Yes I haven’t been great about putting nori in the last couple weeks I’ve only put it in like once a week and no algae in my tank that may explain it . I’m trying to catch it out now …. What a nightmare
