Good evening so I bought a kole tang last week since I put him in the quarentine he hasnt eaten anything I feed him Frozen mysis, nori, pellets he hasnt eat anything any tips?

are you treating the tanks with anything? Are there any other fish with him? Is he attempting to eat or is he showing no interest? Can you give the water params?

It isn't uncommon for tangs to come in and only want to graze for a while before going to prepared food. I've heard rubberbanding nori to a rock will entice them to eat.

Im treating cloroquin phosphate, there is a little clown,he sometimes pick at the glass, the water paframeters are all between range, otherwise he is not eating he is a very active tang

Probably just not used to prepared food yet. Try the nori on the rock and see how he does

I tried that but he doesnt care about it he picks at the rock but not at the nori

The good thing about large fish is they can go a little while without food and if there is anything on the rocks he is at least getting a little fuel from that. I've had this problem before, eventually they'll realize nori is real food. I know its a stressful seeing them not eat. Maybe other people will have some tricks to getting their fish to eat.

Small piece of nori, not a larger sheet. Rubber band around the rock and toss it in. It should find it in time. The smaller piece will not be waving around crazy and startle it. Also if you have selcon you can put a little on the edges. That may help a bit.

Also do not clean the back or side pane of glass. Let one of them accumulate algae. Kole's are constant grazers and will roam all day long scraping their teeth among the rocks and glass getting what algae they can first. It is natural so this is a trick I usually do in all of my tanks.

Others already have said that they tend to lean towards natural food first and then as they get used to the display tank and other fish they will start picking things out of the water column like the rest. Best of luck - a good healthy tang they are.
