Hi everyone - I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this question (remove the fish or the coral, once the fish gets a taste for the coral, it doesn't go away)... but anyone have something I've missed to try and curb the appetite for this dumb kole tang that that I inherited that for some reason has taken an interest into my giant platy? I've doubled up my nori feeding schedule and of course all the tangs and the fox face love it however at 3 -4 sheets a day, its becoming a part-time job and is going to firstly introduce a ton of extra nutrients into the system that I DONT want to add...and truthfully, its only helping a little bit...

Strange, I have not heard of Koles going for corals. Foxfaces yes. Do you see it actually nipping at it? At the bottom or the coral itself? Just curious.
You have the answer. If extra food does not help.

I had to get rid of a kole once. It was eating candycanes.

Are you feeding lots of other stuff besides nori? I would try lots of pellets/flakes and mysis. If you are feeding a lot and feeding a variety, and it's still picking at corals, you'll have to make a choice.

Hey guys, yea, i see it literally swimming by, and picking at it in a line every day, all day long. Its like its bored of the GHA i have in the tank. Its picking across the top of the coral, not the bottom or sides; I'm starting to see lines of the coral now being wavy as opposed to it being one nice even sphere.
Yes, thats the kole tang in the photo, its about 4-5 inches tall without the fins extended; the fox face is a monster in comparison; he's fine and doesn't bother any corals.
