Kole Tang picking at snails

Has anyone had a Kole Tang picking at their snails? I keep seeing it pick up a snail or two off of the sand bed, and trying to pick at my turbo snail.

My guess is that it is after algae on their shells, not the snails themselves.

That was my first thought, too.

My Kole is pretty aggressive at picking at rocks, so I can imagine taking a chomp of algae, and actually picking up the shell until it comes lose. Are you seeing the Kole picking at the soft, meaty part of the snail, or the shell?
